Teen Arrested for School Violence Threat:

A 17-year-old who wrote on a desk a warning he would execute a “Columbine”-type shooting was arrested two days before the date he threatened to enact his plan, police say.

Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct officers arrested Matthew Corapi of Nesconsett for writing the desktop note at Smithtown High School. The note was discovered on April 20—the anniversary of the Columbine school massacre in Littleton, Colorado. It warned that the shooting would happen on May 11, but police arrested and charged Corapi on May 9.

Detectives used handwriting analysis to narrow down suspects, officials say. Corapi, a junior, was charged with falsely reporting an incident and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.

No motive given at this time.

Damn !! Nesconsett is only 2 towns west from where I grew up, and SmithTown is the next school district over from mine.

Little known fact about smithtown (well, unknown to people outside of Suffolk county)… There is a huge statue of a bull in smithtown and has been a landmark for the town since it was a village. The statue is just a little smaller than a real bull and is even (ahem…) Correct

So kids from the high school have had a tradition for (probably) as long as the bull has been in place (or maybe as long as condoms have been around) to provide the bull with protection… so to speak.

yes, they roll a trojan magnum onto the bull's cock every year for homecoming.

Corapi's "note" was apparently a quote from a rap song. The May 11th date was added to his scribblings afterwards by someone else. The school took appropriate measures but no one was actually in any danger and the note never mentioned specific individuals as is rumored.

nice to see rappers have a positive guiding light for our youth

God that makes me sound old.

I get why singers (in general) sing about their emotions, no matter what the emotions may be. But rapping about killing people in a columbine type fasion is never a bright idea. Anyone know what rap song was quoted ?
