Well I was worried that even more threats and plots and even worse another shooting were going to happen this past Wednesday. We’re now beginning to hear about the fallout.
Seneca Valley bomb threats a dud; 3 girls arrested:
From near Pittsburgh, PA…
When the anniversaries of the Oklahoma City bombing and the shootings at Columbine High School roll around each year, emergency officials go on high alert.
So when Seneca Valley Intermediate School officials turned up two handwritten bomb threats on the first of the consecutive dates, April 19, administrators switched into what Jackson police call “lockdown mode.”
Three girls, ages 14, 14 and 15, were later arrested and taken into custody in connection with the threats, police said. The suspects face four charges, including threatening to use weapons of mass destruction.
The school spokesperson, Linda Andreassi, would not say whether the girls were expelled. “Our discipline policy states that in similar situations, suspension should be immediate and expulsion would be recommended.”
The first note was picked up at about 11:30 a.m. outside the main office and brought to the attention of school officials. It stated the school would be blown up before seventh period, according to Jackson Police Chief Len Keller. When somebody turned up a similar note in the girls’ restroom, the school called in the threat. Police, fire, medical teams came, and four canine units swept through the halls.
No speculation of motive here. If it was just for trying to get a day off I hope it was worth your possible expulsion. We have 3 more future candidates for Pole Dancers for Meth.
Now from West Virginia…
School Evacuated Two Days In A Row:
Parents and students say they are very concerned about the recent threats because these bomb threats come near the anniversary of Columbine Shooting and the Oklahoma City Bombings. Wednesday, the school was cleared around two o’clock after someone found a bomb threat on the restroom wall which read, “There is a bomb in the building, it will go off at 2:30″. Thursday’s message a bit more eery it read, “Tic. Toc. It’s one o’clock and this time its no joke.” And students are taking it very serious No one from the school would talk to us about the incident. They would only say things are under control. The local fire department and the Monroe County Sheriff’s department were both on hand.
Again it’s a little unsettling and eery that the school itself has not been forthcoming with the details. Way to proofread there Cletus.
It seems that it’s not just The States either. This from Winnipeg…
Another threat reported at school:
Another day, another reported threat at a Winnipeg school. City cops were called shortly before 2 p.m. yesterday to Kildonan East Collegiate to investigate a student’s allegations that another student had threatened him over the lunch hour.
Initial reports suggested the student threatened to shoot his classmate at the high school, but school administration and police wouldn’t discuss the specifics yesterday.
Cops were also investigating an April 9 incident in which two students at nearby Valley Gardens Junior High tried to post a death threat online against a teacher.
I wonder what the threat against the teacher was for. The teacher probably told the kid he was wrong or something as equally as traumatic if any indication of recent stories would have me believe.
And in Sheboygan…
School threat received at Sheboygan Falls:
Students and staff in the Sheboygan Falls school district were told Friday they could stay home today if they wished because of a Columbine-type threat found at the high school Thursday night.
Riter said the threatening message, specifying Friday’s date, was found on a bathroom wall at the school.
I realize that some of these are probably just kids trying to get a day off but how stupid do you have to be to risk possible felony charges just to skip school?
The most serious situation I’ve read about so far has come out of Cleveland…
Strongsville quiet a day after scare:
Amid a flurry of rumors about hit lists and a planned Columbine-style attack, more than 2,000 of the school’s 2,500 students stayed away Wednesday, the sixth anniversary of the school killings in Colorado.
The district told students as they left school Tuesday that they could skip school without penalty Wednesday if they were concerned.
A few students said Thursday they were worried for their safety on Wednesday. Several others admitted they simply took advantage of a free day off.
District spokesman Scott Ross said about 95 percent of students returned to school Thursday, once news spread that police had arrested an 18-year-old former student.
Evan Doyle is charged with misdemeanor counts of aggravated menacing and inducing panic after students reported he had sent an Internet message threatening violence at the school.
Doyle will appear in Berea Municipal Court this morning to discuss his bail, now at $50,000. He must undergo a psychiatric evaluation before being released.
Police arrested Doyle Tuesday night and seized a handgun, knife, computer and journal from his house.
According to this article Doyle was once a part of this year’s senior class but school officials would not comment on the circumstances under which Doyle left the school.
He’s lucky that he’s only being charged with misdemeanors considering he’s an adult. Now he just has to worry about how I want my fires instead of getting his salad tossed.

Well Trench, your standard disclaimer was right. It could happen in my hometown, and thanks to that nutcase in Strongsville it almost did.
