Online threat against school traced to Oceanside eighth grader:

Police traced the online threats in the San Diego area to am eight grade student from Martin Luther King Middle School. What did he say when confronted by authorities? C’mon. Take three guess and the first two don’t count. That’s right kids. He said it was a joke.

OCEANSIDE – Investigators Monday traced online threats of a school shooting supposedly planned for this week to a North County eighth-grader who claimed he posted the menacing messages in jest, authorities said.

He reportedly told them he had not expected people to take the statements seriously.

What did he expect? To people to see that and laugh their asses off. “Hey this kid is threatening to shoot up his school on the sixth anniversary of Columbine. That’s some funny shit I tell you what.”

Obviously the definition of “funny” has changed since I was in school. I guess funny also now means committing felonies.

As always it was your pleasure.
