Lawrence County teens charged over alleged school plot:
Two students of the Lawrence County Alternative School in Alabama have been arrested for plotting an attack on their school. Both pleaded not guilty to the felony charge. Courtland Police Chief Larry Montgomery said neither of the boys denied any of the allegations during an interview with their parents present. One of the students tried to buy a gun from a former student. Of course they claimed bullying as their motive but we’ll get to that later.
Here’s also what Cheif Montgomery had to say. Tell me if this doesn’t give you chills…
“He said the (14-year-old) told him he planned to kill his father, then kill the school’s director, then put the students and teachers in the cafeteria, terrorize them and then he and his buddy were going to kill the teachers and students,” Montgomery said.
Does that sound familiar to anybody? Sounds a lot like the Red Lake shooting doesn’t it. All in the name of the bullying myth. Now when I say that I don’t mean that bullying doesn’t happen in our schools. What I mean by the bullying myth is that these kids that are bullied that try to exact revenge by plotting to kill their enemies is based on the myth that previous high profile school shooters were bullied. When in fact people like Eric Harris and Jeff Weise were the bullies themselves. And with each new case the myth perpetuates. And like I’ve said before with each new case the priority of dealing with bullying becomes less and less. Think about it kids. It’s more important for schools and law enforcement to prevent a bloodbath then it is to stop bullying. Stop making the problem worse.
As always it was your pleasure.
