I think we all (in anger) have used the phrase “IM gonna kill you” or I’ll kill that person” The fact that we never sockpiled ammo shows the difference between fantasy and reality. Well since this kid is so good at fantasy, he can make use of it in prison. He’s gonna need something to get his mind off the 250 pound guy named bubbles who is ramming his ass with a 12 inch snake.

I don’t believe a person should pass judgement on another person’s fate without knowing the facts of what happened. It’s kind of funny how media can sway popular opinion.

I was once harrassed in Philadelphia apparently for eating a pizza while wearing a trench coat. Citizens took it upon themselves to exclaim outloud ‘Hey, there’s one of those trenchcoat mafia guys.. … and he’s eating pizza. i wish i had a pizza’.

It was raining earlier that day. I did not know that wearing a garment to keep me dry from the rain and one that is quite useful to keep many various personal belongins in a relatively near space to one’s self while walking would in fact make me a part of an underground organization that is known to be related to violence and gun shooting at high schools, from people that furious from being picked on cuz they weren’t ‘team players’ in high school.

i thought we were a free country, and i could wear whatever i wanted to wear. i’m so glad that other people know better than me and are willing to tell me how to live.

and the best thing about this country is, i can say this here. and noone can stop me.

of course i’m going to be dodging bullets on my way home today, because i think someone saw me typing this, and THEY know what’s best for me…..

I was once harrassed in Philly too for wearing my trenchcoat and it was also raining that day. Philly is not the most open minded city in the world. But I don’t see how this applies in this case. Matthew Lovett was arrested after trying to carjack someone and then was found with a cache of weapons. That’s a little different than just being hassled for wearing a trenchcoat and eating some pizza. If you know some things that we don’t I’d love to hear them.

I think that people like this kik ass… espicially Eric Harris!!!! Hes my hero. if there is one person in the world that i could meet if i had the opportunity, he would be it. i just wish i had the chance to or at least went to school with him at that time. u know its pretty sad when your hero, the one person u would look up to is dead! well i guess im done for now but this Matthew guy doesnt seem to bad either:smile:

Actually I was harrassed in school but you know what? I got over it. It’s no reason to take up arms and start killing people. And let’s not forget this kid made his friends refer to him as “Neo” or “The One”. It’s obvious he had mental problems. I think the harrassment was just an excuse and was looking for a reason to start shooting people. And please show me where my comments are VIOLENT.

Matthew, was not fantisizing at all. He knows exactly what he wanted to do and he was going for. He thinks like me. Its diversity. Diversity is like a graph. Some ppl are at 10, 9. Others are at -10, -9. The ppl that are opposite of each other dont get along, and sometimes hate each other. Matthew and I are very similar. I think I could tell you almost every thought that went through his head. He was tatood by society as a freak. therefor everyone hated him. Anyone who has been hated by a mass group of ppl knows that its a horrible feeling. The longer it lasts, the more your mind decays. You may have once thought that all people are caring and you should try your best to be the person who opens ppls eyes and shows them how to accept others even though theyre different. After one year, you may decide that you hate eveyone, there is no hope for a better life and everyone deserves to die. Ill bet that what happened to Matthew. But he has gone throughmore than 1 year of depression. Hes probally gone through 4 years of bastards that yell “freak” when they see him. He carried a bat with him to make sure that no1 fucked w/ him.

Sure, everyone gets picked on at somepoint in their life, but you will never understand until it happens to you. When you feel like that 1 person who picked on you for so long, should be tortured to an unspeakable death, then you know how he and many other who are too afraid to do anything major, feel.

well he was my bf im from pennsauken N.j. We met at a summer program where in order to get credits we helped the kids action karate team. Also everyone has to be vindictive once in a while but there are only few who act on it but its hard to endure a lifetime full of bullying,death, and sadness and not know howto fix it.

If there’s anybody who should be locked up it’s you for saying such horrible things about a person you don’t even KNOW. If you knew anything about Matthew at all you would realize all the crap they said about him on the news is completely false and he would never hurt anyone. He is my very good friend and he is a wonderful, sweet, intelligent and creative person who does not deserve all the garbage people like you say about him. I’m saying he NEVER hurt anyone. Did you realize he turned around and decided to go home almost as soon as he left? He was so angry he was thinking irrationally, but he stopped himself and abandoned the whole crazy idea before anything ever happened. It was one of the OTHER boys who raised a gun and pointed it at a passing car, but since Matthew is the oldest, he was blamed and held as the one ‘responsible’
And it doesn’t matter what he almost did, the point is, he never actually did anything, and he will always be a sweet person no matter what morons like you may say about him. He doesn’t deserve to be where he is, but while you sit on your butt writing some stupid blog condemning other people, he has to be locked away in jail for the next 7 years, missing out on all the things you get to do every day.

Those are the crimes they tried to charge him with, none of which are things he actually did. He didn’t unlawfully possess anything, the weapons belonged to his father, how many kids do you think use their father’s guns for hunting or things like that? Probably a lot. Matt doesn’t even know how to fire a gun properly, just HAVING one in his general vicinity can’t be a crime. He didn’t ‘conspire to murder’ anything… it was a fantasy they had that was never acted upon. Are you trying to say you’ve never wished someone would just go away? I kind of wish YOU would go away forever so you would stop writing this crap, but just because i think about you dying doesn’t mean it’s going to happen or i’m going to have any part in making it happen. Neither did Matt, he hurt no one. And carjacking? His friend raised a gun at a passing car. Matt never raised a weapon at anyone, they never made contact with any car, and he doesn’t even know how to drive as far as i know. If you think Matthew commited a crime, you’re an ignorant moron. You only know the dramatized story they told on the news, so why don’t you just stop pretending you know better than the people who actually DO know and love Matthew?

I knew Matt. hell I dated him. He was a sweet guy then and when I last talked to him he was under great stress from his peers at school. they laughted at him for being different but they never gave matt the time of day because he dressed differently from them. Matthew went through years of belittling and no one tried to stop people from making fun of him. He made the wrong choice we all have and just because he did make the wrong one people want to judge him. Well all I have to say is Stop judging and put yourself in his shoes. And live the life he did then tell me if you are better than him. None of you can because you all thing with one simple mind. All the things in the news articles about Matt ‘waving guns’ are fabrications meant to make the incident sound more exciting. I don’t think you understand that concept or you wouldn’t be quoting articles that contain gross exaggerations.
He also never “tried to kill” anyone or anything. TRYING to kill someone would involve pointing a gun at them and failing to fire, missing, or only injuring them. He never tired to do any of those things. He aborted the entire ‘mission’ when he realized how crazy it was. Unfortunately his mistake was too huge to allow him to simply apologize… Nothing you quote from your newspaper articles can change the fact that you have no idea what Matthew is really like since you don’t know him.Lucky for him he doesn’t have to talk to someone like you.

Matt is doing ok right now considering the conditions he’s in alothough he did cut his hair grrr but hes ok. He just turned 21 and he told me that when his time is served that he wants to go to the Savannah art institute in Georgia so he has high hopes which is good but unusually for the situation hes in.

Thanks I needed to know what happened to Matthew. I miss him so much and so does alot of people who knew him. I feel that anyone ,parent,teachers,etc, are also to blame , they knew there was something wrong with him and just ignored it until they had no other choice,and now look at what they have to deal with.

I graduated from Colls High in ‘02 and I also knew Matthew. I wasnt really “Friends” so to say, i just knew him, he was in one of my computer classes, and possibly some other ones, its all a blur. I also made a conscious decision not to laugh at him whan people made jokes. They used to call him McGregor, because that was the brand of shoes he wore. I talked to him on occassion, and he seemed ok, just a shy, introverted guy. He had a real soft-spoken demeanor and you could tell he was dealing with some emotional stress. Its ashame that he snapped to the point of even going outside with all that weaponry. I do believe his friends above when they say he second guessed himself and decided to abort. But i guess the ball was already in motion, and he couldnt prevent what happened. Hell serve his time and hopefully hell have learned something from all this.
