You know, I really have to stop hanging out at message boards. But I love to see what the lefties are complaining about. Today they were whining about the fact that the death sentence is barbaric and that it’s cheaper to house a felon for life that it is to execute them. Other arguments against the death penalty were that killing him would just be letting him off easy while life imprisonment is the real punishment and the usual that it’s not a deterrent. How many people did Muhammad and Malvo kill? It was in the double digits if I’m not mistaken. None of those people received trials. You want to make it less expensive to carry put the death sentence? Limit the appeals process. You get one year. 365 days from the sentencing. With today’s technology if you can’t prove your innocence in a year then oh well. Don’t worry about being able to afford it, I’m sure Mike Farrel and all his buddies will be more than happy to foot the bill. If you say that the death sentence isn’t a deterrent well neither is life in prison obviously. Want to make it a real deterrent? Use my idea of feet first into the wood chipper. Is it barbaric? Hell yeah. But so is killing innocent people at random. Anyway it’s not supposed to be a deterrent. It’s punishment. Also the argument that the death sentence is the easy way out, I don’t think so Tim. For you see I believe in Hell. I believe in a place of eternal punishment for the truly damned. If you think about it capital punishment is just foreplay before the real punishment begins.

by my guesstimation, the electricity to fry that fucker would cost about $1.58…..should they go with lethal injection, i would imagine the drugs would run roughly $10. probably the most expensive means of execution would be hanging - they’d probably have to pay $40 or so for some good strong rope.
still, cheaper than feeding and housing the bastard for the rest of his life, so i don’t know where these nut jobs are getting the idea that it’s more expensive to execute him.
I like the Rock because when he is babyface he is funny as all hell. The whole pie/strooldle thing with that old lady had me rollin. And your right… the Rock will job for the lesser guys to help them along. Auston is great on the mic, but when it comes to the ring … IM tired of the same old shit. Even the popular guy needs to lose once in a while.
