The ultimate blame lays with the cowardly scumbags Harris and Klebold but yes their parents also shoulder some of the blame. They should have been keeping better tabs of what was going on in their own houses such as the storing of guns and building of explosives.

Oooooooooooooh. They had a bottle broken at their feet. How traumatic. They weren't bullied. There were tons of signs that the parents should have picked up on if they were good parents but they weren't.

Your generation really needs to suck it up.,

Yes, they were bullied. Not as much as most people think, but even in Brooks Brown's book, he recalls an incident when a glass bottle was thrown at them in the smoker's pit.

I agree with you that his father did turn a blind eye many times. But many kids have gotten into the same trouble that Eric did. Just because a child may shoplift, take something, break into someone's locker, etc, doesn't mean that they're going to shoot up the school.

B. I read the journals. I also read the evidence that showed Harris' father had a bad case of 'not my kid' syndrome.

Honestly, people do about an ounce of research on Eric and Dylan and think they know everything: about why they did it, how it could have been prevented, whose fault it was, etc.

They did it for so many different reasons, and you can't pinpoint just one. For all you on here saying, "Oh, they could have just stuck it out in high school", okay. You obviously haven't been bullied like some kids have. Do you really, truly know the feeling of going to bed at night and wishing you would never wake up because of what went down as soon as you stepped into the building, or are you just saying it? Sure, they were pretty much done already, but they honestly hated society and everyone so much that they didn't see a reason in going on.

To whoever blames their parents, smack yourself right now. There were tons of signs of what was to come, yeah, but they were so little and spaced so far apart that nobody could put them together. Try looking at the world for a moment through Eric's or Dylan's eyes. Read Eric's journal entries with a bit of a more open mind. Yes, they're fucked up, but he has a point in some of them. Look at the world we live in.

Here's a question for any of the posters that even defend the two killers in the least bit. Would you say it was justified to kill someone who wore a color you didnt like? Because you don't know it yet, being kids and all, but "bullying" is something so insignificant in real life. You just don't know it yet. If you think bullying in school is so bad, you might as well kill yourselves now, because kids, it gets a lot worse.

Listening to you guys is like watching a baby cry because he didnt get his bottle. It's baby stuff. Most of us can't even remember most of high school. So silly.

You sir are an untalented hack. Not only is your writing atrocious, but by publicly posting this woman's IP address, you are in violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Under the Act, it is a felony to "Knowingly and with the intent to defraud, trafficking in a password or similar information through which a computer may be accessed without authorization." I have already alerted the proper authorities, and they have assured me a criminal investigation will commence, likely within a month.
