Yea sometimes people don't know how to keep there comments to themselves. Kids can be cruel in high school but thats no reason to kill people over it. I've been reading up on these guys and some of there stories and in the beginning they weren't bad guys. I'm sure if I had known them and I had the chance to try and talk them out of it. I would in a heartbeat but unfortunitly you can't change the past. What they did was wrong and I don't pity them in the least bit. I just pity the fact that there parents didn't notice the obvious warning signs that they showed. Ecpecially after one of the boys walked out of his house with a gun sticking out of his bag. If my mom saw me walk out of the house with a weapon she would stop me in less then 3 seconds.

Now although their parents did not directly murder those people and as a result cannot be blamed for such, they did have 18-20 years to figure out how they planned to bring up their children. The enviorment they chose, the school they wanted them to attend (and keep attending) as well as teaching them the fundamental values of "Live and Let Live". I'm not justifying bullying, and I don't agree with their methods of resolve, but if they had the proper tools instilled by their parents, teachers, and peers, they may have concluded with a more objective approach to dealing with their obstacles.

As for your comments on bullying, I don't think you quite mesh with my language.

And you can't really have been bullied that badly because you simply don't talk like someone who has. One of the results of bullying is that the person doesn’t develop proper sexuality as an adult, or a lot of other things, they often get constantly pushed around etc.

As for legal redress, “the system is always on the side of the bully” at least it was when I was at school. The modern ‘commie’ laws might protect kids in theory but you know that mostly it doesn’t work. Its actually a lot worse in my country now than when I was at school, if someone uses the law to attack bullies a common response is to attack the victims whole family, things like bricks and stones through windows, petrol through the letterbox, vandalism, intimidation etc. In Britain people are not allowed any self defence and the police often do nothing. In America you can at least shoot at someone breaking into your house.

Erric and dylan were two tortured souls who had had a gutful of this painful fucked up life we call society. Eric's fascination with violence has probabely stemmed from physical abuse he recieved as a child and mental abuse also, dylan was in this same way as well, full of hate, anger, depression and self loathing. In a school like they were with so many different groups and so much tension i suppose you would not have felt comfortable much, people bag on ya and call you a weirdo , they were probabely made fun of cause they couldnt screw girls n stuff. Anyway, in any event job well done boys, you have showed these assholes that some of us are not bound by morailty and the rules that siciety lays out for us, some of us will snap any fucking second when ticked off, or we might just let our anger build up and plan something so catastrophic and shocking that people wont be able to believe there fucking eyes. When I was in eigth grade, I, like so many white-kids-who-think-they-have-problems-but-really-don't embraced ignorantly and myopicly the concept of massmurder. I became engrossed, like a fucking idiot, this culminating in me being expelled for having the suicide pictures of those two losel's in my backpack along with detailed bomb making plans. i didn't get the internet until i got a job to pay for it recently, and my first goal was to meet people like me so that i could "comiserate" (i'd like to say i would love to have kicked my own ass from any goddamn day i thought like i used to). i joined a message board about columbine and at first i thought this would be nice, but then i realized that these people are goddamn shallow idiots who were concerned with superficial things about how the gunmen looked. i was taken aback by this and thought that (coming from some isolated opinnions) that people interested in such an elevated and sympathetic topic as suicidal despair would NEVER have such hackneyed reasons for being misanthropic, then i found out that many of these people claimed to talk to eric harris and dylan klebolds ghosts. somewhere in this (can't articulate it very well) i realized and asked myself, "what the hell did you EVER like or admire about these two guys?" I drew a blank, like some mental constipation—no shit of rationality squeezing out on demand. Then i realized there was NO laxitive of justification to ever make me shit rationality that would support these guys. There’s a funny thing I learned about Eric and Dylan just a couple of days ago that kind of explains everything. It seems that at least one their friends who had been a goth had been brainwashed by a Christian group, and had become one of the ‘Stepford’ people. She lost her personality, burned all her music and stuff, cast off all the ‘devilish influences’ of rock – including Eric and Klebold, and took up the Jesus chant. Not only was she one of the people they killed in the shooting but she was pretty much singled out.

To me this kills the bullying argument dead – it doesn’t take a big leap to figure out that Klebold and Harris could have thought they were going to be next.

If this is true it makes them hero’s in the proper sense, given the choice between being dead and no longer being human, they chose to fight. It makes them killing their friend(s?) not an act of evil but an act of mercy.

Yes Trench maybe true, but if youve grown up with a domineering, headfuck case of a mother that made you feel like you were below dog shit everday the scars stay with you forever. Last year my friend and I wrote a threat in our school. It created caos – We were questioned, our rooms were searched and our privacy were destroyed. ITs not funnY! The best thing thing to help you deal with this shit is buy finding something you love to do. Find an interest in life that will help you ease the torment and stress. Focus on school, focus on your future and everything will be alright. I've done it and i'm sure anyone can.

i was sitting in a pscology class a few days ago and the teacher reenacted the scenario of one the library shootings and the teacher tweaked it a little which was wrong but the teacher made his fingers look like a gun and went between the aislepretending to shoot one person before me then left me alone and said because i was nice and moved on to the next student:/. after that i felt the terror of the students in the library at the time of this shooting. these boys should have been imprisoned before the shooting and massacre could happen

Here's a question for any of the posters that even defend the two killers in the least bit. Would you say it was justified to kill someone who wore a color you didnt like? Because you don't know it yet, being kids and all, but "bullying" is something so insignificant in real life. You just don't know it yet. Honestly, people do about an ounce of research on Eric and Dylan and think they know everything: about why they did it, how it could have been prevented, whose fault it was, etc.

They did it for so many different reasons, and you can't pinpoint just one. For all you on here saying, "Oh, they could have just stuck it out in high school", okay. You obviously haven't been bullied like some kids have. Do you really, truly know the feeling of going to bed at night and wishing you would never wake up because of what went down as soon as you stepped into the building, or are you just saying it? Sure, they were pretty much done already, but they honestly hated society and everyone so much that they didn't see a reason in going on.

To whoever blames their parents, smack yourself right now. There were tons of signs of what was to come, yeah, but they were so little and spaced so far apart that nobody could put them together. Try looking at the world for a moment through Eric's or Dylan's eyes. Read Eric's journal entries with a bit of a more open mind. Yes, they're fucked up, but he has a point in some of them. Look at the world we live in.
